No, but the grade does look about right.

    Third party graded??? Yes.

    Third party guaranteed? No.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

That's one ugly nickel. How that was ever MS anything from NGC is a mystery to me. I guess if there isn't friction breaking the luster it has to be MS, but the thing looks like there are hardly any details in the hair (poorly struck) and the photo looks lifeless. Maybe lighting, maybe no luster from dipping. gack.

I've heard of people buying coins and cracking them out an putting them in an album. But Ebay is full of scammers. I'd never bid on this coin.

Loose TPG labels are meaningless. Once the slab has been cracked open any grading or authentication guarantee is void.

The Buffalo is not in an NGC holder.

You’re seeing an NGC tag and a coin separate from each other.

Who’s to say the that is the coin that came out of the holder, perhaps it was switched? It could have originally had wonderful luster with a weak strike and dark toning… perhaps it was cracked out then dipped and stripped?

Perhaps the nicer Buffalo is in someone’s collection and a second far less desirable coin is in the photo?

Edited to add: nope, it's not a third party graded coin, it's not graded by any company.

How many collectors crack out their coins and then save the labels as if they mean anything once they are separated from the slab? image
