<< <i>If you're going to load my inbox with incessant spam, at least have a real 'unsubscribe' link in your emails. Grrrrr. >>
Sorry to disagree, but I don't consider it spam as I'm an active coin buyer, and they sell coins. It only seems logical for them to assume active coin buyers would like to be aware of when and what coins are available for them to purchase. Frankly, I'd be a bit TOed if I found out a coin I was looking for sold in one of their auctions, and I didn't even know they had a sale. Now, if you are not an active coin buyer, or if their coins are not in your price range, I can see how you wouldn't want to receive their emails. I hate those spam messages I get from drugstore.com. I purchased something from them over a year ago, and apparently they think I might still have poison ivy.
<< <i>Stacks has recently gone overboard. I am getting about one a day, sometimes more. >>
This is the first time I recall Stacks highlighting individual coins in an upcoming sale, with each email showcasing a different rarity. I must be flying under or over Superior's radar, which quite frankly is just fine with me.
<< <i>No big deal. I delete a couple of Superior emails a month along with ebay spoof mail trying to get my account #, cheap air fares, and cheap viagara.
I like it - makes me feel like I have more friends.

What you can do is re-send the heavy catalogues back to them. Have their address as the sender, and their address as the addressee. Think they'll get stuck for the postage. Don't put any "objectional material" along with the catalogue, as that is a Federal crime.

I get voice mails from SG and Heritage on my cell soliciting consignments, but rarely if ever are they trying to sell to me. I don't really mind but an email to reply to would be nice.

Exactly! Whats up with this? Are the major auction house's expecting a slow down do to economy?

I can understand how you may not want to receive our emails. Please forward your info to my email address (aaronm@sgbh.com) and I will make sure that you are removed from our email list.
As you can imagine, we certainly are encouraged to announce our auctions via the resources that the web provides and we will continue to do so. Its an inexpensive and effective way to reach our intended audience. You maybe surprised that we do sell a number of nice coins that might even fit in with your collection. I'm willing to give you a personalized description of any coin in our inventory as well as our auction lots. However if that doesn't work for you, as I'm well aware, you have a number of dealers who you trust and we'd love to have them lot view on your behalf.
I appreciate your feedback and if you have any other issues that you'd like me to address, please feel free to write me directly at any time.
Thank you,

Email sent.
Believe you me, I am well informed about any significant coin that Superior [or any other auction house] is selling. I just don't need multiple emails to multiple email accounts to stay informed.
With regards to the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email - don't you think I tried that already?
It's best not to provide your primary email address, if you do not want to be hammered with junk, DLRC and Stacks is just as bad as Superior... and now Heritage sends me Want List selections daily... when I never set up a want list.
I don't check this alternate email regularly, but just the other day of the 96 emails... 83 where Check All and Delete.
Edited to Add: And how could I forget Bowers and Merena... another major regular abuser.
To Err Is Human.... To Collect Err's Is Just Too Much Darn Tootin Fun!

Does their spam go immediately to the spam folder or does it stay in your inbox.
The reason I ask, is that with my Outlook, spam gets neutralized so that no HTML shows up. If I move the item back to the inbox, the HTM shows up along with the unsubscribe link.
At least, thats the way it worked with TicketMaster.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
I've zapped them on my hotmail email so it goes straight to spam, but not at work. I guess I'm gonna have to have my IT guys block their address or smoething. What a friggin hassle!
I get bombarded by Heritage with emails for a wantlist I made out two years ago, but that is my own fault for being too lazy to log in and change the email settings and delete the obsolete wantlist.
Bruce, why don't you respond to it, and attach something 'interesting,' like Alice Cooper doing "Cold Ethyl" (one of several of Alice's songs about necrophilia) live? If someone there looks at it, they might never send you anything again!

Geez, you would think a high ranking person at the PARENT company could tell the spammers in the SUBSIDIARY to knock it off, rather than pass the buck.
I consigned some coins to Superior and it was a total nightmare. Talked with Mr Song and told him I thought his company was pitiful, on more than one occasion. If Superior tried to give me a coin I wouldn't accept it. I still receive calls and have told them to take me off the list. I have gotten to the point that I enjoy telling them they suck.

Sorry, but I completely disagree. They have always seemed to work hard and been completely fair with me.
