I just got home and received my 2007 Christmas Present

Many of you know I have been away for the past 10 months and I just made it home for some rest. Well, I was not here for Christmas in 2007 and I just received the gift from my Father in Law. He likes to send coins, I don't complain. Last year I received a 2007 mint set and a Jamestown 400th Anniversary Commemorative Proof $5 dollar coin.
So, I know it's late but what did you all get for Christmas?
Hope all is well,
Ray

Well, I am lucky enough to be one of the few Soldiers assigned to one of the few units that are on the 15 month tour. Since we do three extra months, we receive three extra days for leave, so instead of doing 15 days we get 18 days R&R. Ain't I the lucky one
Thanks for the welcome, it's good to be home.

You're very lucky to be back "all in one piece". I take it, your M4 is all cleaned and put back in the arms room?
Welcome back.

Where do I serve?
Wherever there is an injustice, wherever there is someone who can not defend themselves, wherever I am needed, I am there.
Thanks for the great picture,
Ray

Shamika,
Thanks, I could not agree more. I support my mission, but any time we can send a Soldier home to be with their family, I support it.

My 20 year old son is in the military. He made it home for Christmas last year, but only for a week.
It's hard on parents also.

Red meat is fine; green, fuzzy meat is bad for you.
<< <i>Thanks Gold Bully, it feels good to let my guard down for a spell. Imagine, this 18 days in the only 18 days I will be in the USA for the entire year of 2008.
Ray >>
OK, let that guard down and sit back and relax for 18 LONG days.
Enjoy your time with your family.

We've never met, but I gather from the posts you have been serving our country overseas. I want to personally say THANK YOU for giving of your life, your time, your family's time to serve our great nation. Politics aside, men like you are who keep this country safe. Your sacrifice is appreciated by many more Americans than can personally thank you.
Glad you're home safe. Get some rest. Enjoy being home.
With gratitude,
Bob
