New Girl On The Block - Buffalo Nickel Question

I have been reading posts on this forum for over a year and i feel that i have received a wealth of information which i never would have received reading books. I bought a camera but i am not sure if i can ever achieve the quality that most members achieve. I purchased five Buffalo Nickels a long time ago and sent four of them in to be graded. Two came back from NGC as MS64 and MS65. Two came back from PCGS as MS64 and MS65. Is this Buffalo worth sending in for grading? The line you see across the Indian feather is from a light source. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you
Carolyn

Welcome aboard!
I think it would probably grade 64.
Also check the mintmark to see if it's a D/S variety.

If were almost anything but a '38-D I might say yes. But in reality, a '38-D was both very well made and very heavily saved as the last year of issue. So really, a '38-D Buff has to come back 65 if not 66 to really be worth it. This date is by far the most common Buff in 66 and above.
How does this one compare in quality to the ones that graded 64 and 65? If it's no better, I wouldn't bother submitting it.
What kind of camera did you use.
Pics look good.

Check the mint mark with a 10 power loupe to see if it's a D/D or D/S variety...
As far as sending in for certification, if your gonna see you get more in plastic IMHO.

There are some really smart coin people here that are always willing to help share their knowledge, so take advantage of it. I know I do.
Listen to the advice from ziggy, intocoins and messydesk on this one. These coins are saved in great numbers in high grade and have to grade really high to warrant the cost of the slab. The D/D does not add much to the premium. It it were the OMM, the D/S that might be different.

As far as whether you should send it in or not, what is your intention with this nice but somewhat common coin? knowing that may help with the advice provided by the members.
This date comes nice so this one doesn't have a chance.
The pictures aren't bad.
