  The seller’s camera was probably set for automatic white balance. The electronics detected the large yellow mass of the coin, and shifted color to make it neutral. That’s the result. The blue background was probably off-white when the photo was taken.

  This might be close to the original scene. The background appears to be a sheet of lined notebook paper - the cheap off-white stuff.
