Do you ask for feedback?

If you have sold something and you have left positive feedback or you bought something and left positive but the buyer/seller has not left you any feedback do you ask a question asking for the buyer/seller to leave you feedback?
I normally don't do this as I don't like it when I am asked to leave feedback. But with the changes I am starting to do this in a polite way hoping that my buyer's and seller's I have bought from will leave me feedback.
I feel like as a seller feedback should be left as soon as payment has been received and as a buyer I should leave feedback when I have received the item and satisfied with the item.
What are your thought's on this?

I haven't done it as a buyer as of yet.

As a seller, I do not ask for feedback.

As a buyer and seller, I will contact either and say, " Please don't forget to leave me feedback, as I have done for you".
It generally generates a positive response.

I very much dislike being asked for feedback but do understand when a newbie asks for it. We've left a good many more than we've received over the years but would never think of writing to beg for it. I know it may be annoying not to receive feedback but when I look at most people's record who don't leave it, they're not singling us out - they just don't leave it. Sooo, they don't get it either!
Everyone has had different ebay experiences, learned a few lessons with time, and adjusted the way they do things to suit them. I'm not judging - and when asked for it, I leave it quickly and positively.
Just please give big sellers a week or 2 to catch up. With shows every weekend and running a B&M, that honestly gets pushed to the back burner sometimes.
Email the buyer and say, HI I am wondering since I saw buy USPS delivery conformation I had on your package that you recieved your item. If everything is to your liking, could you please leave me Positive feedback as I did for you to complete and close our transaction on ebay. Again I want to thank you for buying a item from me and great collecting on the Bay. Bless Yaha
I have always got a Positive feedback this way within 24 hrs.
Hope this helps.
However..... I leave feedback the same day as item I purchased is delivered. I'm just funny that way.
I leave feedback EVERYTIME I recieve my purhase.
It disapoionts me when a seller doesn't leave me a feed back.

I don't contact them about feedback again after that; if they don't want to leave feedback it's up to them.
When I sell to a known reseller, I will ask them if they want feedback before I leave it. Most say NO thank you !!

That sums it up pretty well.
<< <i>When I ship I email them to let them know thier coin(s) are on the way and I tell them to contact me if there is any problem with the coin(s) when they arrive or if they are satisfied to leave feeback on eBay.

Indeed. I find it annoying that if you leave a page of feedbacks (25 or so) then it takes ebay 10 minutes to update and if you try to leave more you'll get the same list of buyers showing up that you just left feedback for. last night I figured out a better way:
Leave feeback from your "Sold" tab.
Click on Feedback recieved at the top of the column and sort by feedback status.
Click on the box to the left of each sale you want to leave feedback for.
Click feedback at the bottom of the page and you'll get several options.
