This ebay buyer has bought over 70 raw coins from this eBay seller.....Troubling IMHO!!!

Has anyone bought a raw coin from greatsoutherncoin??

I've bought a few and they are definitely overgraded.

This buyer patentguy33 has bought over 70 raw coins from greatsoutherncoin since Feb '08.

I noticed that many of his July 17th positive feedbacks to the seller were from late May auctions.

Am I making more out of this than it's worth?

This patentguy33's coin purchases have been all over the place.....no rhyme or reason.....and some pricey raw coins I must say!!!

Please check this strange eBay buyer seller relationship and see what you think.

Who would buy that many raw coins on eBay, especially from a seller with less than stellar feedback????

"Am I making more out of this than it's worth?"

This is a great question and since it's Friday night, I predict your thread will reach 100 before Monday.

Shill or no shill, it doesn't matter. They will stay on eBay regardless. Have you seen how many sales they have?

  • I don't even bid on his auctions anymore.
Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'... but it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?

My experience also. Some "nicely" toned coins that didn't look quite right in hand, but I believe he has a reasonable return policy.

Overgraded, AT junk. I was always very surprised he realized the prices he does, but it's becoming clearer now. Sounds like just another dirtbag on the 'bay.

    Edit: spelling.

I just looked at a few of patentguy33s wins and I think he is obviously not a shill. Anybody know why?

Second, I think this forum quicker to jump to wrong conclusions on shill bidding than anything else. I can't understand why it is such an emotional issue here. --Jerry

I've never bought from them because of high pricing on questionable coins. Glad I didn't!

Sounds like we should feel sorry for the patent guy.
  • If patentguy33 is really a patent guy, then he must be cheap to a fault. So he would find buying a bunch of overgraded coins to be ok, if the shipping discount was attractive.

Sorry, I've been in the patent biz too long. I can smell the type a mile away.

I've seen a seller with well over 10,000 feedbacks get booted. If someone made a case, and Ebay agreed, they'd shut him down.

Easy way to stop someone like that, a sharp knife right to the middle of his sack. Then the good people that work hard for their money he will never have the feeling of hardness again. SHILL GUY 100%
