us mint has dropped all platinum proofs on the site

US mint has NO platinum proofs available on the site other than the anniversary set.
Ships are safe in harbor but thats not what ships were built for.

BTW .. the 2008 proofs are not listed on their "NO longer available" site. Either a glitch or they are being repriced.
They were already damaged when they first came out...

OPA, they were probably getting ready to re-price the Proofs at a new, higher level - and now the spot price has cratered over $100/oz. in a very short time.
Do you suppose that this will give them pause, or will they just go ahead and paste on a big, hefty price increase anyway?
If you can answer this question correctly, then you will illustrate a good understanding of the Mint!
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>Maybe they are repricing the coins...with Plat. below $1900 an oz.......... Naw

Sorry dude ... my crystal ball went on strike...
They really need to go to a spot plus pricing policy with the wild swings PM's are making only to get worse point forward IMO. I think they let the market stablize by design before bringing them back more than they are just ineffecient.
Buy them BU's people. Maybe the Proofs will come back once eBayers are pushing them at 10X issue?
<< <i>Well I for one would hate to be the mint right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they wait until the market stablizes before putting them back out. The price stays around here and the new price of the proofs will be posted (20 to 30 dollars over the UNC W's) and if it were to drop another $50 to $100 dollars they may pull the UNC W's and re-price both lower.

Why is it just not possible to call and ask what's going on, or for them to post updates on their web site just like any other company would. All of this guessing when they should be keeping their customer base informed is just absurd!
