ajbaumanajbauman Posts: 1,179 ✭✭✭
Anybody on here use Heatware.com (Heat)?

It simiar to the eBay feedback system and I think it would be very useful for people here on the BST forum. I have used it when buying and selling on other computer forums. Just curious if anybody here uses it.

Look up my user id (ajbauman) on the site if you are curious to see how it works.

There have been a couple people who said "Don't use it now, don't think it would be useful"... I'd like to hear from you as well. Why don't you think it would useful?

I used to use it back in the day....Buying and selling computor stuff mainly on Anandtech forumns.

Pretty much everybody swore by it. Pretty much didn't matter what you had on eBay only thing that counted was Heat image

You Can Still Find Me Here on heatware.com

I think it could have some use on the BST forumn as not everybody is into ebay these days.

I use it for computer stuff. I think it would be a good idea to use it for BST transactions. Doesn't cost anything. The only vulnerability I am aware of is sometimes scammers will claim to be someone else on heatware - not everyone has the same heatware name as they do on every forum they use. So you may have to do a little verification to ensure everything is OK.

Now that I think about it, I actually have a heatware eval for a coin purchase - but I purchased it on a computer forum back in '05.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I don't use it because this is the first I've heard of it. I have not bought many coins or other items off ebaY, so I have not had a use for it. However, I might use it if I started buying or selling on the BSTF.

Far too hot today to even consider launching an application named Heatware. I'll try it sometime in November, thanks.

    Voted nope and nope.
Extra step, could still be manipulated, and uncertain of any "enforcement" other than shunning folks.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
