Along the line of Sanction's post about profit

My very first coins were 10 1972 Ikes given to me on my 10th birthday in 1972 by my grandfather. I have them to this day and I credit that as having sparked my collecting.
I have never sold a coin in my life and don't suspect I will until I turn selling into a hobby on retirement in about 25 years. At that point I feel I can't help but make money off of coins that I will have held for 25 to 60 years. I am fully aware that there is a probability of the "profit" will end upbeing a some what poor investment as compared other ways I could have invested but hey, I like coins.
My question is- How many of you haven't sold a one. I imagine those who haven't are like me and just in it for the fun (short term at least).

10th birthday in 72' yup that's me too...i think i started at 8 on my granny's farm in desoto missouri
bottomline...we're all collectors...some of us is always trading this for that or that for this...some have spaklett bottles full and proud of it...truly though...there's not an issue
some i know are boustfull about never spending a dime as all they have is from circulation only
some i know are trading their way up to the top and with coins that never were in circulation or available to them to buy direct from the mint as they're older then them
some never will or did sell a single coin
some will sell a bunch
we're collectors at heart
as here we are at a pcgs forum
one last lil side note is in if no one was selling how are the y/n's going to behold the classics if all the oldtimers got them all snatched up and apparently we are both the same age and still having fun and enjoying it
