Now, does it qualify you for a you suck award? It depends on how you aquired the coin. If you found it while digging in your garden or you bought it at a garage sale it would be deserving of the award. If you bought it at a fair price from a dealer, I'm afraid it wouldn't. In any case it is an awesome coin that I would love to own!
A great looking, valuable coin doesn't warrant a YOU SUCK in and of itself. Now if you happened to find it in a junk box of coins you bought for $50, then you would suck. But if you paid up for it close to what it was worth at the time, you don't suck -- you just have a nice coin.
Great coin. I guessed 55 when you posted it earlier and I spent a few minutes looking for it in recent auctions last night but didn't find it. Very curious where you found this very nice coins. --Jerry

For the OP a "You Suck" award is appropriate when you cherrypick a rare and valuable variety that the seller hasn't noticed or by some other [honest] means manage to aquire a coin well below market value...since you didn't tell us how you got this coin, the assumption is that you got it the old fashioned way, you paid for it. -jerry

This actually came into a local dealer, I got a call in the middle of the night on Thursday, he left a message since my phone wasn't working to well out of town, but the message said he just had gotten several very high grade coins over the counter from an estate sale. This piece was with an AU 1795 Half Dime, several early MS-62 etc Bust Halves etc. Wanting to get back in the coppers, especially Large Cents, this was the one I wanted. And yes, if I were to say what I paid for this vs. big city auction prices ie Heritage or Stacks, I think I would qualify for the You Suck! In my part of the country good coins are hard to find, but when they are found there are not many buyers at that price level so I have bargaining power when good stuff comes in, and I can stop this stuff from going to Chicago or NY.

<< <i>It is the lettered edge variety. You should have seen what I passed over for this, ie a 1795 Half Dime in AU. >>

Pulled from an album I paid $200 for.
Bought off ebay for $20 raw
Pulled from a half mint set from ebay for $75
As far as the You Suck, it shouldn't be lobbied for IMO.
If it's due - it'll come.
