NGC 0 at MS65
PCGS 2 at MS65: 4 at MS64

I am not worthy to gaze upon this. I had to use one of those shoebox-with-a-pinhole-in-it devices that people use to observe eclipses. Have you upgraded your home security system yet?

MS65 is the highest grade from PCGS.

If I remember rightly the other one had some wild colour to it. Personally I like yours more.

This one is staying the color it is. When I compare the MS65 to the MS64 from the same submission the main difference is the marks on Winnie's and Q. Elizabeth's cheeks. I now know what PCGS looks at on these coins.

In run of the mill grade, about 50c - $1.

I'm selling my duplicate PCGS MS64 on eBay right now and it's bid up to $38. Value of a PCGS MS65? As far as I know, one has never been sold.

Looking at both MS65s I dont think that grade is at all uncommon, the one in my collection is at least as good, but who in there right mind would pay good money to have one slabbed.

and I had some slabbed. I find your reply to be somewhat insulting to my collecting habit.

If you are willing to sell any Churchill Crown that is nicer than my PCGS MS65 I am a very willing buyer, especially since that aren't all that uncommon.

Agreed. As has been said, these are coins with a large surface area, and large devices that seem like magnets to attracting marringl, scratches, rub and other contact...

These are so unusual nice that I always wonder if the truly nice examples with good luster are the special finish versions. I've found a few choice ones but never a gem or near-gem.

No, the satin finish specimens are quite different in appearance. If I can ever get my camera thing together I will post one. I very much like this coin also when a gem coin appears it always reminds me of that.

An MS65 Churchill crown is very tough and represents a quite the challenge. Buying some raw and submitting them also serves as a reality check for grading modern British.

Try finding a 1959 1/2 crown in 65 or higher... that will keep one occupied for awhile.

You should have kept the 64, so that when you'll ultimately make your first 66, you'd have a Churchill grading set.

Congrats on the only original existing MS65.

edited to add: the rainbow 65 from TT has a $5K asking price now...
