I had a couple of original (unopened) Coke bottled 8-packs from about 1986 or whenever they came out with "NewCoke." They got lost in the shuffle during the divorce, argh.

Late 1930's original photo of the Heidelberg Brewery (no longer in my collection). Located in Tacoma, Washington. Started out as Columbia Brewing Co on South C Street around 1900. Later became Heidelberg after prohibition. Then Carling AKA Tuborg. Finally Heidelman(a branch of the Wisc brewery giant). Closed it's doors in 1979. I wonder if the brewery building still exists.

I have a pile of coors light cans in my garage. The pile is growing by about six a day. I think I will ship some of them to Russ to sell for me.

I just happened to go on the Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour in St. Louis a few weeks ago, and I must say that the beer straight from the Brewhouse tap was some of the best beer I've tasted. No cans involved.

I used to collect them, close to 300.

The cone top cans are no joke, and have some serious value, depending on condition.

I like the ol steel can with no pull tab, real mans beer.

This Mule Head can still has beer in it. I'm curious what it tastes like, can't be very tasty.

Vintage photo showing some flat tops and cone tops. Both were being produced at the same time.

Cone tops really should be called spout tops but the name "cone top" has stuck. (same as with the incorrect naming of mercury dimes).

Cone tops were the choice of smaller brewers since it was less expensive to convert an existing bottling line for canning these.

Vintage (late 1930's/early 1940's) photo of window display--marked "KAP DELICATESSEN CO, STAPLETON, NY". Some nice Ballantine (of Newark, NJ)---flat top cans, big display cans, neon, reverse on glass sign, keg and diecut cardboards----all collectible.

I was going to really start picking on Russ, but not now...
