Has anybody noticed BUYERS leaving less feedback lately?

In the last 4-5 weeks, I've noticed a BIG drop off in feedback left for me as a seller. Anybody else see this?
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

People will sometimes give kudos for exceptional service but ALWAYS leave negative for a bad experience, unless they are threatened with retalitory consequences. This is what was happening on Ebay. And quite frankly, I really don't care about the sellers good feedback, that is mostly for the seller, I am more concerned about the bad experiences.
Those that provide adaquate service should have nothing to worry about, those that do not, rightfully should.
I say "Bravo!" Ebay!
Works for buyers & sellers for me, except for the E-Bay Challenged, as I refer to them as.

If you use paypal shipping buyers automaticly get an email when you ship the next day so if it is delayed in the mail they know it isn't your fault. --Jerry

I see you hate then new system and I won't change that but they are still leaving feedback, just not the stars. It was probably always that way but you couldn't tell untill the new 2 decimal pt resolution was implemented. --Jerry

But if it gets delayed in transit somehow and the buyer isn't happy with the delay, it's not like they can give feedback to USPS. They can easily take it out on the seller -- just as they can nail their shipping cost DSRs even if they charge only $3 for something that cost $5 to send.
I make a huge effort to communicate with buyer in an attempt to make them comfortable before the "out of your control"
time when the USPS has the package. The funny thing is, on the feedback I have gotten, under the "Shipping and handling charges"
I have a 4.9...I never charged for shipping. WTF?

I don't find that to be the case. IN fact, when I make a shipping error myself, so long as I apologize and correct it promptly, I get good feedback.
As for shipping charges, ebay now will calculate the shipping charges to the penny and then print it on the label so they see that you paid what they paid. If you add a handling charge to cover some of your expenses you'll probably get a 4 but if you don't that seems to work well. --Jerry
I'm not familiar with that. Are you talking about shipping labels printed through Paypal? You can choose to not have the amount printed on the label.

Don't forget that DSR's were implemented at the end of May 2007 and are a rolling 12-month average so those that were left prior will now begin to fall off.

Yes, there is a button to click. I now choose to have it printed on the label so they can see what I actually paid. Many buyers don't know how much postal rates have gone up. --Jerry
