What did you do to get blocked by this guy?

Was your snipe higher than the winning bid? You may want to have some fun and taunt the seller and tell them that they left some money on the table by blocking you...

So are you saying that somehow this guy is blocking bids from sniping software (unlikely) or this guy has blocked you for some reason? --Jerry

What is the bid increment in that price range? If it is $2.50 then your bid may not have been high enough but I think it is less so your bid would have been accepted by ebay if you weren't blocked. --Jerry

Don't know what could've happened then....unless you got a glitch in your snipe program.image

Maybe your snipe bid was a couple of seconds too late.

I've blocked a couple of guys before they bid simply based on their questions, past history with other sellers and their attitudes.

Have you purchased from the seller before?

    Strange?

My sniping program works well, unless my internet connection is bad or the computer is running slow ect.

Then it was a glitch in the snipe. There is no way to block a bidder from sniping without blocking the bidder completely.

Anybody ever been blocked before? Doesn't ebay send a message to you telling you your bid was blocked?

I had a couple blocked the other day also. Found out I needed to update my data with Auction Sniper and Paypal.. Wouldn't take me because I wasn't a confirmed Paypal buyer or something like that. I was, it just needed updating.

    Seems to be fixed now.

  • I just had a snipe blocked.... on a boat seat.
something is going on with ebay and sniper

"Everyday above ground is a good day"

  • It happened to me last week. Its paypal. The auction stated paypal account required. I had not problem if it did not require a paypal account under the bid box. I found my ebay email account was not the same password as my paypal password.

    Here is what they said

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.

I can see where you would question this and I am sorry you are having
    this situation.

I am seeing nothing as far as your account status that would cause
PayPal to prevent you from normal activity.

I can tell you that what may cause a problem is if your Ebay information
is not current within the PayPal system. PayPal does require
account information to be kept current.

First, remove an eBay ID from your PayPal account, please follow these
    steps:

    1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com

    2. Click on the "Profile" subtab.

    3. Click "Auctions" located under "Selling Preferences."

    4. Use the radio buttons to select the User ID to remove and click
    "Remove."

    5. Click "Remove" again.

Second, add a new eBay User ID, please follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your account at https://www.paypal.com

    2. Click on the "Profile" subtab.

    3. Click "Auctions" located under "Selling Preferences."

    4. Click "Add."

    5. Enter your eBay User ID and password

    6. Click "Add" again.

    7. To activate the Automatic Logo Insertion, click the "Off" link
    next to the User ID.

    8. Select the "On" radio button and click "Update."

Please keep your eBay User ID up-to-date. An incorrect User ID may
affect your notifications or PayPal logo insertions.

Please allow 24 hours for the changes to take place. Also, to provide
the most secure service as possible, you may be asked to complete a
Security Challenge. Simply type the characters you see into the blank
    field, without spaces.

If the eBay User ID that you are trying to use is on a closed account,
you will need to wait 10-14 days from the time the account was closed to
re-add your User ID to your new account.

Thank you for being a valuable member of the PayPal community.

    Sincerely,
    Sheri
