Any wonder why, take a look at airline fares. I just checked on Orbitz for the cheapest round trip tickets from San Diego to Stuttgart, Germany. The cheapest tickets were $8,500 plus tax for the two. Europe is going to be vacant this summer of tourists. Our refusal to develop our energy reserves is coming home to roost.
A year or so ago I read an article talking about the amount of silver it took to buy 3 or 4 gallons of gas and many other references to the silver price/inflation %..It was interesting to read. But I forgot to save to my favorites.
Would anyone happen to know where to find this article....

I think it has little with "our refusal to develop our energy needs" as much as it has to do with oil and gas speculation.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
