"Light Cameo"...Is There Such an Animal?
Light Cameo to me means no cameo whatsoever. An e-bay marketing term. Of course, I could be wrong.
Do the TPG's recognize "light cameo" or is my assumption correct?

<< <i>No, they don't have a light cameo designation, but there certainly are light cameos.

Although NGC sometimes gives the * designation for a lightly cameo'd coin that doesn't quite make the full CAM.

No. That would seem to be undergraded.

Yes, there are some that hint at Cameo that are right on the bubble but according to PCGS standards, a coin must be CAMEO on BOTH sides to get the CAM attribution.
There can be no doubt or Wishful Thinking.

though I will say.. in hand is a bit more even across the surfaces... ie a touch less "CAMEO" then the image suggests... depends on the angle viewed... OOOHHH SO CLOSE!

<< <i>PCG has the DCAM and CAM grades. I'd think CAM would be considered "light". >>
Respectfully disagree. Light cameo does not get a designation of cameo. Yes Cam is lighter than DCAM, but not light by any means.
THe Morgan in question is light cameo on the obverse and cameo on the reverse, hence no CAM designation.
For a coin to get the designation, BOTH sides need to meet the minimum criteria.

Gimme that coin!
a light camera, in my opinion, is a coin that lacks complete frosting of the devices... the partial frosting could be deep or light... it doesnt matter... incomplete frosting kills any cam or dcam designation.
just my opinion on this one.
