C'mon, now. Y'all know you can't beat Weiss in this one
565-546 BC, Siglos, AR 5.28g. Lydia under Croesus.
One of the first true coins ever made. It was part of the first fractional, proportional, bi-metallic system of refined silver to gold coins, bearing what we would recognize as a royal device, and issued under authority of the lawful government.
And if that doesn't do it for you, my icon predates it by ~ 30 years. 610-565 BC, Trite, Electrum, 4.74g. Lydia pre-Croesus (likely Alyattes). Considered by many to be the first true coin ever made:

Since the OP, my oldest coin has changed from 1803 to 1794. I recently picked up a 1794 Large Cent. I also picked up a 1798/7 Large Cent.
So I am now officially the proud owner of 18th Century American coinage
