I guess I have to rip this...

anyone oppose? i'm really torn. it has survived like this for 29 years.

of course, i wouldn't be so torn if i hadn't finally bought a PSA9 Ozzie about a week ago.

Agree with the rip suggestion...in fact, I'll be ripping 2-3 of those later tonight for my next sub as well! I have found that if you peel away a little cellophane, or it's torn in one corner, it'smuch much easier to justify the ripping, as who wants a tray with a tear??

just think how hard it must have been (and still is) to put together a high end set of some of those years. all the miscuts and such. ouch.

That Mark Lee card is hilarious!!!image
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,858 ✭✭✭✭✭
Fosse & Lee look sharp...in my opinion the 79 issue is one of the toughest to find in mint condition, an undervalued set, IMO, mainly due to its lack of popularity among collectors.

  • LOL at Humphrey and Kusick.

Kusick looks like one of those guys from Chicago, like in Ferris Beullers day off. The guy at the pizza place watching the cubs game.

Mark Lee looks like Ethel Mertz! Haha.

I swear Mark Lee picked up those glasses at "Child Molesters R Us".

Ditto on the Lansford. If the scanner is playing tricks on the upper left hand corner and it really is sharp, that's a superb card.

just shows what a sad man you are Gary Dackett...you know you are despised, hated, and vilified on these boards (deservedly), yet you cant help but remain here! that is so sad! do you have anything positive in your life, or is it all about deceit, cheating and robbing people?

its no wonder you have no wife, kids or family....who would want to spend time with you? you are truly sad and i hope you find the help you need...maybe if you went to church it may help you.....otherwise i think your life may spiral into an endless abyss (if your not there already)

Why is the Kusick card so much bigger than the Carlton? Actually many of the cards look to be all over the place as far as size goes.

Did you scan them individually and then past the scans together?? Or does the '79's cut vary like that?
