Who knows. I'mg going to pop him and really don't care if he retaliates. We need to get shcmucks like this off ebay.

Just out of curiosity, is there any chance I can get the inevitable negs he leaves me expunged?

only if he gets bounced, or if you both agree to pay $25. per neg each to square trade to have them removed.
Did you file for his contact info to call him?

If you can get him to swear at you, or claim he has turned you into
a law-enforcement agency, EBAY will likely remove the NEGs.

    Otherwise, probably not.

If all of the bidders file complaints, will that at least get him suspended?

    Tips
    Seller Non-Performance Policy

eBay expects sellers to deliver a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction.

When a seller lists an item and a buyer purchases it, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract that both members are expected to honor. For sellers, this contract includes both formal requirements, as well as informal, common-sense obligations to provide good service to their buyers.

Sellers who do not fulfill these requirements and obligations are not honoring their contract and create a bad buyer experience. Sellers who generate excessive bad buyer experiences relative to their selling volume are at risk of violating the seller non-performance policy.

Buyer experiences are reflected in areas such as Feedback (including overall scores and detailed seller ratings), as well as item not received or item significantly not as described disputes.

Violations of this policy by a seller may result in a range of actions, including:

    *

    Listing cancellation
    *

Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
    *

    Selling fee schedule adjustments
    *

Requirements regarding payment options and potential holds on payments made through PayPal
    *

    Limits on account privileges
    *

    Loss of PowerSeller status
    *

    Decreased visibility in search results
    *

    Account suspension
    *

    Referral to law enforcement

    Hi Lee,
Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I thought ebay prevents contacting other bidders( e-mailing them) Does ebay provide a mechanism to e-mail them....if so, how?

blaze- When someone sends you a message through ebay, you can just hit "Reply" and their email appears.

He threatened me with a non-paying bidder strike if I didn't agree to mutually cancel the auctions. Then he got negged 9 times.

I think in May Ebay is going to start removing feedback left for any member who is NARU even if they went NARU before then.

What everyone involved needs to do is file a Non-Selling seller complaint on the seller here. Text

Enough of those and he may be NARU'ed before the end of the week.

He threatened me with a non-paying bidder strike if I didn't agree to mutually cancel the auctions.

He can threaten all he wants, but once he files for a mutual agreement and it gets declined he cannot file again on the item. His days on Ebay are numbered.

Excellent job on the feedback you left for that jerk. What a turd he is. I would say you leave much better feedback than you make NCAA hoops picks! image I don't have much room to talk of course.

You definitely did the right thing with the negatives Lee (most would not have), it just sucks that at only a 37 feedback rating his eBay ID is very disposable. I hope he gets banned before retaliating.

Lee, since all his auctions clearly state he accepts paypal and has the paypal logos isn't he in violation for not having a paypal? since he closed his account and all. I clearly remember reading about this in the past..this could also be another thing to report him for.

    Dizzle makes an interesting point.

And I agree, Lee you did the right thing giving that guy the negs.

Most would have shied away from doing that so they could protect

    precious feedback.

    Good for you.

Screwim. I'd rather take a few negs and get this nutball off ebay. I'm going to report him for listing violations as Dizzle suggested.

listen lee, ive said it a million times. im not sure who you were talking with but i can asure you that those responces you are referring to were not coming form me. this was a fraudulant listing and i can understand your upset. i was in contact with ebay live help long before these auctions ended. i was trying to contact as many bidders as i could until i was locked out due to to many conversations with bidders that were rapidly getting thrown out of the loop. i guess ebay thought that there was side deals going on, i dont know. im sorry you feel that way, these items were not listed on my behalf. dont fret your paypal transaction will be terminated and all monies refunded. i would appreciate you to cancell this transaction

Umm, if you were in contact with ebay live help long before the auctions ended, why the hell didn't you just end them at that time instead of letting the auctions run their course and be locked into a contract that you had no intention of following through on?

    That is lame.

He would have been better off just saying he made a mistake
and that he has sellers remorse. Perhaps people may have been easier on him.

Or, he could have said he was under the influence when he listed them and the devil made
    him do it.

    Steve
    Good for you.

The EBAY boards contain zillions of stories about "children, dogs and cats"
    listing/bidding.

Yeah Steve, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the responses (or 'responces') that were sent to the other winning bidders who asked questions about items.

You should ask him for his son's name . . . tell him that you want to file a police report against his son for trying to sell property that didn't belong to him. Do it just for kicks and to see what he'll say.

    GriffinsGriffins Posts: 6,079 ✭✭✭
At the very least he should just bite it for the ebay fees, instead of blackmailing the winners into canceling the sale.

    I smell a NARU coming.

If enough folks file non-performing seller complaints,
the guy will be TOSd and the NEGs he leaves will
    likely be removed.

Sadly, his ID is essentially disposable; no real loss to him.

Lee, I'd suggest a buyers account in the future for things just like this. Don't want to see your feedback get killed by someone like this. Or with that new feedback deal, can sellers not leave them for you buyers?

I see someone else negged him, but another buyer with no backbone left him a positive.
