I think it's great that DLRC bought out PCI... but in the end would a Dealer/Auction House owning a Grading Service be some sort of conflict of interest?
Would all PQ other TPG coins that DLRC normally sells now be resumitted into their own In-House Slabs
To Err Is Human.... To Collect Err's Is Just Too Much Darn Tootin Fun!

Thank you everyone for your patience. We will be posting an official press release on our web site tomorrow afternoon, but the major news is that we have decided to discontinue the PCI brand in favor of an all-new grading service named Dominion Grading Service (DGS, for short). There was simply too much negative baggage tied with the PCI name and we didn't not want to be associated with that.
We will be using the same holder as PCI, but that's where the similarities end. DGS grading will be based on strict standards (Photograde for circulated coins). On mint state coinage, we will grade conservatively with a focus on eye appeal, freshness of surfaces (including originality) and marketability.
The Dominion Grading site is 95% operational with a lot of information. You can Google it by entering the company name.
I do not wish to wear out my welcome on the Coin Universe message boards, so I will not promote the company any more on these pages. I will emphasize that it is not our goal at DGS to supplant PCGS or NGC. Both of these companies do a fine job and are integral to the strenght of our hobby. David Lawrence Rare Coins/DLRC Auctions will continue to be a major supporter and market maker in the certified coins of both services. We sold $30 million of PCGS/NGC coins in 2007 and that will grow in 2008! Of course, we will making a market in DGS coins as well.
I agree AuthentiVIEW is a good idea. PCGS has started linking TrueViews to cert verification look ups but it would be nice if they were available for more coins.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Visual Population Report
Wish you much luck in this endeavor!!! Competition is a good thing IMO.

Does Heritage own a major interest in NGC?

I believe that's a smart move abandoning the PCI name. Good luck.

How many ANACS are there now? Are there good and bad old ANACS?
