I have not spent any money on coins in over 1 month now. 
It feels really strange but the longer I go the easier it seems to pass up on coins I need in hopes of finding something better. I can literally focus my attention better now.

That's part of it too. In the mean time I have been learning like crazy. I have been in touch with John McCloskey learning about varieties and rarity in the series I am currently focused on. This really allows me to look for more important examples in the many examples that seem to have surfaced recently.

due to lower income, I will be only be collecting information for the unforseeable future. That is almost as much fun as buying coins though, .........ALMOST.

Congratulations, Ben!!! However, like assorted other people on this thread, I suspect this period will end with a pop. I made it in essence for 2 months the early part of this year, and then in mid-March went on a mini-binge. Have Fun!

Actually, it's not that I have not tried, I have dealers looking for a specific example of one coin I want but no one seems to be able to find it.

all of a sudden there are 5-6 coins I would love to have but money for only 2-3 of them.
