[Edit to add: From this image, I can't tell at all whether or not the coin is PL.]
I'd grade 64 and maybe PL (need to see in hand) but I could see this in a 65pl holder...
It appears to have a nice cameo contrast, somewhat hidden beneath toning, but clearly there.

but after my 2nd look i am not so sure about the PL anymore.
The coins doesn't have many contact marks and the mirrors are most likely hidden by the toning.
Extremely nice coin!
But the reverse at the lower rim looks like PVC damage on my moniter. Deep green color.
CAn anyone see that?
I do like it.
Oh! ANACS !!!!!!!!

<< <i>64. It's a 1880-s, these well struck, PL coins are the norm for the early S mint Morgans. They have to be knock outs to get the higher grades. >>
Trust me. This coin is a knock out.
<< <i>Is this from your recent "old ANA holder hoard"? >>
Perhaps...
Yes it is.
K
superb coin. unique holder.
Here are some more images that show off the mirrors better:
<< <i>Thanks for the comments and I'll keep you posted as to what it gets.

I see very nice contrast but I don't see mirrors.

Just wondering, it is a real nice coin.
