My guess is they are going to reprice higher. That's only about $50 over spot.

image They will come back, but at the same price as the current spouse coinimage

I told you so yesterday...they may reprice it but they may have had a huge run since it was near spot. I bet when people saw the new price they may have just brought the old coin.

We'll see if I get the one I order yesterday. It says "In stock and reserved" but at the top it now says:

Order Status: Your order request is on hold.

It really doesn't matter I was just going to add a little bullion.

This has been an amazing market that waited till the start of the Spouse program to take off. It seems that with each release the price is significantly raised. Heck you could buy multiple proof and mint sets for that difference and still have money left over to play with.
  • I don't think they are adjusting the prices. The proof version is still available (as of 5 minutes ago). The uncirculated are gone.

Think order limit is now 10...
  • The Mint's website is now showing the Uncirculated Madisons as "No Longer Available."
I bought a few of the Madison proofs instead. They will be gone SOON.
  • I also ordered two of the proof Madison. We will see if I get them.

Make that two more, four altogether.

    FYI,

Due to the increasing market value of gold, the Dolley Madison Gold Uncirculated Coins are temporarily unavailable while pricing for this option can be adjusted; therefore, no orders can be taken at this time.

  • I just bought mine for bullion.

Maybe buyers are looking for the best value, bullion-wise. At the moment, I think the 2007-W Uncirculated one-ounce AGE is the cheapest per-ounce Mint offering at $1,045.95, followed by the 2007-W AGE four-coin set at $1,048.62 per ounce. The Dolley would be in third place at $1,059.90 for two half-ounce coins.

Dolley unc and proof still available... at 509 for the unc... seems like fair deal now.

I see them as available too. 12,742 sold so far. Will they pull them on Nov 19 which is one year from when they went on sale. This will be the test. The previous issues of 2007 have been sold out.

I just bought mine for bullion.

I believe the best prices (at the moment) for bullion on the Mint site are the Buffalo gold unc. one-ounce at $1,059.95, and Buffalo four-coin set at $1,959.95.

Are the 2007-W AGEs still available from the Mint? All I find are the 2008-W one-ounce at $1,119.95 and 2008-W four-coin set at $2,039.95.
