Spend some time over at the eBay forums. Here, we get the occasional whine, moan, rant, or attack. Over there, it's nothing but. Post a question or look for help here, you'll get numerous responses of genuine advice and guidance. Post a question or look for help over there, and you'll either get ignored or attacked. It seems that about 90% of the posters over there have nothing better to do but complain.

This place is a serious breath of fresh air.

Lately it's because there's been lots of entertaining threads about the impending demise of eBay. image

I checked it out a few times. It's more like a grade school or daycare over there and here it is more educated. image

Russ, are you still functioning as a counter-indicator for silver? Have you still been selling? Inquiring minds want to know.image

  • I agree. Not to mention the incredible amount of information stored on these boards. If I have a question, I can search the archives and almost always find the answer to my question(s) and more.

I do my best to not get involved in the many complaints around here, but lucky me, I have been attacked a few times, and yes I have attacked a few times, but generally, I try to stay out of it.

Russ, you do have quite a few good responses, and have generally very interesting posts. I try to read them all!

    Later, Paul.

Yes, but I only have a little so it's not selling time yet. BTW, the last time I sold it was at $15.73. Clearly, I have the magic touch.

As far as the flaming and insults go, there's a reason why so many people over there use "posting IDs" that never actually have any activity on eBay. image

Since starting on-line about a year ago, I lurked there for a couple of weeks but the level of "advice" was not encouraging. Came here to learn how to "survive" selling/buying over there image

  • Even with the minor things I dont care for here, Id rather be here than over there. Even the people I dont really chat with here are decent enough to help if one needs it.

I have posted in a few places, but this by far is the best! Hands down I love it here.
  • I bought 50 oz of silver directly after Russ last announced he was selling.

I sold nearly $400 in face at Long Beach. That was 2 weeks ago and it was breaching $17. Thought I was being smart! image

I totally agree. I've visited ebay's coin forum several times and just never found it enjoyable.

This is a great site, and I need to clarify something. After going off on another thread, I want it clear that my distaste for a policy does not cross to the people here, only a policy I disagree with.

This and another site I belong to are far superior to any others out there, and I agree, I have found the Ebay message boards to be battle grounds and clicky, not for me at all.
