Since I was outbid on this lot on eBay, can someone tell me what I was bidding on?

I was watching this item for a few days on eBay and put a relatively small bid on the item w/ 1 minute to go: eBay Coin
I didn't know what I was actually bidding on, but I did think it was cool since the obverse looked like that of a Capped Bust Quarter.

So, does anyone know what this item is?

Could be either a Hard Times token or a German spielmarke. I'm more inclined to the former.

It is a TOM THUMB token, they are fairly available and in Fine are worth around $50 or so.

An authorized PCGS dealer, and a contributor to the Red Book.
