where will gold and platinum go?? up or down?

the market opens in less than three hours...any guesses?

Both!

Short term the dollar might rally some. Long-term I believe we are in a commodity bull market with energy costs continuing to rise (very inflationary). As for what gold will do tomorrow? Well, I would say, but my crystal ball is in the shop getting a new rotary valve installed.

Imo odds favor a higher run up on gold ($960-$1000). Have no thoughts on platinum following its exponential surge the past month.

Considering that no solutions have been offered for the sub-prime liquidity mess, how can gold do anything but go up?

For the near future.. up.... there will be occasional profit taking... so yes, some dips. However.. the upwards trend will continue.. I have no idea how long... but until something significant occurs either with oil, the dollar or other financial influencers. Cheers, RickO

I must not be doing this right. I have platinum, gold and silver. Everyone is talking about it going up, how high it may go, coming down, doing dips, etc. I watch mine every day. IT NEVER MOVES! It just sits there, stacked neatly in the safe deposit box.

What do you all do to make yours move so much--stroke it a certain way?

I will ask Sylvia Browne next month in Baltimore for you guys, I have 3 questions that I am only allowed to ask her.

First question will be when will I die?

Second question is when will Platinum and Gold drop like my glass eye did this morning while getting a dog hair out of my eye.

And the final question I will ask her is what will the Mega Millions numbers be when the jackpot hits 1 billion dollars?

I want to be the first one to hit that one. A Billion dollar jackpot. HOLY $hit!!!!!!

I don't think the surge in Platinum will hold.
I believe it's a temporary supply issue.
Gold on the other hand may have legs at least for the near future. 3-6 months

Yes it will go up and down and as it gets at these levels it will go very high to very low fast. If your worried about wheather it's going higher or lower I'd stay out your going to lose money. It's in for a wild ride soon.
