2008 Bald Eagle SILVER """FEATHER ERROR""" picture update

I have found a very interesting defferent on the feather of Eagle. have anyone see samething?

I try to take a picture, but not see clear. could anyone show me how to do it. thank you

  • I don't see anything different... there's some difference in how the lighting is that creates a difference in shadows, so that skews the look of it... but, I really don't see anything different between the two...

    I put 2 coins in my scan same time. the DARK part that I mention ( feather curve upward) cost by the light, because it's not FROST or smooth out like another.

    The only thing I could think of is that the one on the left was struck on a new die (or early in the life of the die).

    It kind of looks like the edges of the feathers are 'flattened' somewhat

    Some wear on the die perhaps?

    Hard to tell without a closer up look at it.

    i don't know about first strike, but I have 6 coins like that. so I post it up to see anyone has same as mine.
