Slider or Unc...Merc Dime.

Not that it really matters that much, but I'm curious as to what the board thinks...

Slider or Unc?

  • My initial impression is to say slider, but without seeing the coin in hand, it's a tough call, mainly
because the P mint Mercs from the 40s had weak strikes, which manifests itself in the hair curls around
liberty's face, and on the middle bands and lower diagonal band on the fasces. So I would not rule out
    MS on that coin.
  • Looks like an uncirculated coin to me, but one that was rather weakly struck.

Too bad about all the post-mint ashes, tar, and nicotine. image
