I think I finally got it right - '45S Walker.

Last night I posted several attempts to get a good photo of a friends 1945-S Walker. Different lighting conditions, always setting the color balance, etc. Here were the results. VERY frustrating to know that there were exposure/lighting problems with each of these attempts and not be able to fix it!

Well this morning, using ambient daylight (sun coming up with overcast sky) I gave it another shot. Set the color balance and shot these. What a difference! These look very much like the coin in hand. FINALLY!

Take home lesson? When it ain't working for you go to bed and give it a shot tomorrow.

Very nice. Well worth the endless aggravating hours learning how to image a coin
Very nice colors on that Walker

You've proven how different the images can be made to look w/o even trying
to doctor them
Your coin is much prettier in today's photo, however!
