Anyone who has seen photographs of Abe Lincoln will note that he had a very large pimple, wart or something on his right cheek.
Brenner has this feature on his 1907 plaque, but on the coins this is almost unnoticable, one can only see a slight irregularity on the face.
Where did it go? Who decided that some plastic surgery was needed?
A mystery we many never solve......
