Question about silver content

Does anyone know of a site that lists all of the foreign coins and their silver content. I have amassed a large coffee can of foreign coins from my grandfather, mainly stuff he aquired while in the war overseas and was curious to know which contained silver. Any help would be great!

Buy a Krause catalog on world coins.

I use a book, the standard catalog of world coins for stuff like that

I use World Coin Gallery for that purpose. They have a nice one-page coin identification for each country as well as a one page price list / bullion content list for each country.

That's how I got started collecting world coins.

When the price of silver started up in '74 I wanted to pick silver out of dealer
junk boxes and needed to learn what was silver and what wasn't. The library
had the first edition Krause so I studied it and took notes. As Time went on and
I looked at more and more junk boxes it became apparent that there were lots
of base metal coins that were far scarcer than the silver.

I got a lot of silver from it but the education was much more valuable.
