I sold most of mine off also, except a few raw ones. and the NGC 69 below. I will probably buy them back either raw or as 69's at some point. I will be ordering the W's from the mint each year from here on out though. No 70's for me unless they come that way raw.
Not in MS 70 but in PF 70 in NGC. See my NGC registry set. I will collect the MS 70 from 2006 W onward maybe in NGC. I have 2 sets of NGC MS 69 1986-2007. 15 ASE OGP 20 coin rolls from various years I bought when spot was around $7.00 in 04.
Nope, and I wouldn't buy an ASE in a 70. I had several thousand dollars worth of the 20th Anniversary Silver eagles develop milk spots (but PCGS did buy them back from me). I sold what I had left and that is it. Never again.
I buy proofs from the mint and keep them in the original packaging,
I do get the uncirc's slabbed in MS69 and since the mint started the W Uncirculated coins I've been buying them in original packaging and buying one MS69 slabbed. I have a complete set of Eagles including the 1995 W.

John, I hope the 1995-W does'nt get the spot's, That would SUCK. I have all the ASE's EXCEPT the 95-W Slabbed, Raw & in the original packaging also A few times over. Oh yes and the ( 2005 20th anniversary label )
I've only ever had 1 ms-70 and it was a 2006-W graded by Pcgs and I quickly sold it for a $2000 profit.I just now sold all my NGC ms-69's also due to lack of interest and possible milkspots.I do have several raw ones left.
Since it is only a bullion coin, I picked up one every year since it's conception. I put them in a Capital Holder and have them mounted on a bedroom wall. I haven't picked up 2008 yet, I need to do that.

I don't think it would make the grade, though it probably is a condition rarity

That sure is ugly... Almost as bad as the Pat's. Missed the upload day, Sorry about that
Now accumulate is different, if I can buy at or below spot I will add.
One of my remaining ones:
Box of 20
I just recently did my first submittal.
I sent in one of the two 2007-Ws I bought last year and it came back a 70.
It's in my collection now so I'll answer the OP in the affirmative.

Never view my other linked pages. They aren't coin related.
