NEWP Flowing Hair Half

Just got home from a local (Chicago) coin show. I picked up a coin today that I have wanted for a couple years. Finally got a flowing hair type coin for my collection. Im positive I overpaid on this coin, but as I debated with myself on buying it or not, I kept remembering what I read a few months ago. Dr. Steven Duckor said "stretch for quality, and hold onto quality". So I stretched a little on this piece. It is PCGS graded, take a guess if you desire. Also, any guesses on what a fair price on this should be are welcome as well.
Edited to add: This is a half dollar by the way.

Sheet: $825 (GD04)
Paid: $1,400 (Revised)
Thanks man... I was just contemplating why my GD06 only cost me $895..... that would be a nice gain for 1.5 years.

Is current sheet on a 1795 half in G4 really $1,450? Please check that again for me.

Prices corrected. Ask, not bid. Thanks.
I need to say GD08. Where bid/ask is 1050/1150. Now I guess $1,650.
No more posts or post editing for me. I'm done. Finished. Fini. Nomora. Endo. Finalito.
<< <i>12. Very nice. I have a similar 94 and would love to pick up a 95 to match. If you get tired of it for some reason send me a PM. --jerry >>
How about we just trade?
<< <i>OK, not GD04 or GD06. That leave AG03 or VG08. Hmm. Say AG03 and insults him. Say VG08 and embarass myself.

Haha. I like your guesses. Very enthusiastic. Is there anything about this coin whatsoever that points to AG3 though?
I grade her 10-12
And think she ran you about 2K.

How was the Countryside Show?
A 1795 Flowing Hair Half like that one is one of the few pre-seated silver coins I'm still hoping to add to my collection someday

You paid $1600, and it looks like an O-119.
Nice coin.

We have a winner! It is housed in a VG8 holder, and I paid $1625 for her.
<< <i>I'm saying VG-10 and a hefty price.

Show was really good. I had my wife and 8 month old son with me. It was his first show. Usually he is pretty quiet, but I guess all the people talking and negotiating deals made him want to get in on the action. So he became quite vocal after 45 mins or so. I spent way more than I had planned, but im as pleased as punch with my new piece!
About $2K...

As far as the Overton number...is that little lump of metal just to the right of the bust, above the star the indicator? I now have 6 early half dollars in my collection. Maybe its time to get the Overton varieties book.
I want one.
<< <i>I am thinking VG-10 and hoping you paid just shy of $2K for the piece. It's a real beauty! You'll never regret owning it, that's for sure.
Thanks for the compliment. In hand, it looks every bit a 10, if not a slider 12. No major distracting marks, which is rare for a VG8 coin. I paid $1625 for it, and I thought it was too much at the time. But now im feeling a little better about it.
It's definitely worth more than three first spouse coins. At least for now

I think you have it backwards. Its slabbed VG8, but could easily go 10. My pictures are not flattering at all on this coin. Usually my pictures seem to make a coin look better than it really is, but not in this case.
