Saturdays are becoming just like Sundays

Sundays have always been a dealer bail-out-early/no-show day at the coin shows, but I was surprised at how many vacant tables there were at the FUN show today. I got there around 1:00 and there were many empty booths. Maybe they should just end the shows at closing on Friday and say to heck with the weekend collectors.

Narrow them down to ONE day shows....
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

By Saturday afternoon, the good deals are usually picked clean by the people that showed up on Thursday, Friday, and Dealer Day.

The whole Sunday thing has been beaten to death here, but I was surprised at how this is now creeping into Saturday, too. It's a bad trend, IMHO.

Yup. Many dealers start packing around noon on Saturday.

Obviously, big time shows aren't intended for the unwashed masses who have to work.

The big shows are about big money. The big money comes in the door on the first day.

It is a shame how many dealers bailed but its also the collectors fault as there are just so few buyers spending money to make it worthwhile for the dealers to stay. We are still at the show and staying in support of FUN. But if I don't see more than 20 people walk through the door tommorow then I am out myself. Dealers spend a lot of money ever day to be on the road and many have been down here working 16 hour days since last weeks pre fun. If you want a good weekend show where dealers stay then look at coinfest being held Nov at the Stamford Hilton
