Very nice pictures of a Very nice coin......judging from the plastic around the coin you nailed the white balance perfect. Which is not an easy task.
When mgoodm3, mesydesk, japanjohn....and the other photo experts chime in I bet they like it too.......

Fantastic photo. I just bought a macro for my Nikon D70 and I can hardly wait to get started. Where did you place the lights, up near the camera as suggested Mark at his web page?

through experimentation...yes...we both arrived at the same conclusion, that 2 lights nearly face on is best.

Beautiful picture. I guess I'll have to ditch my florescent lights. The color is just not working.
