Help from the boards Ebay seller problem...what a snake
I won a ebay auction for a somewhat rare card, it is a numbered card with only one with that number. Than made my payment using Paypal. After 2 1/2 weeks of waiting for the card to show up in the mail. I sent a email to the seller asking for the date he sent the card out and any tracking info if he may have. Another couple of days and no card and no answer to my email. I than went to paypal and opened a dispute for not receiving the card. In the dispute I claimed that the seller would not answer emails and provide any tracking for the card's delivery. I also said all of my card purchases are sent to my P.O. Box and I have never had anything not arrive so far, lost or stolen. Well the seller never responded to paypal and I escalated the dispute to a claim. Still with no answers from the seller and I was refunded my money from paypal. I have not left feedback for this seller so far... And I think he still can leave feedback for me. The real reason I'm posting this is due to the fact on my favorite searches on ebay I received a email this morning letting me know some new auction matched my favorite search. It was the same card I won over 6 weeks ago. being sold by the same seller. I check his feedback negatives and one person claimed they paid for a card and never received it. than seen the seller place the same card up for sale a week later. What should I do... What would you do. Thanks Paul

<< <i>You have to leave him a Neg. I believe since you won the claim, he may not be able to leave you any feedback. Either way, as a buyer, the neg will not hurt you.
PLEASE leave the neg >>
Is there anyway to find out for sure, that they can't leave you a negative feedback once you have won a claim? Does anybody know for sure? If not, where can I get this info? I too have a problem with a seller, and would like to know if they can leave me a neg back.
Thanks,
Giovanni
<< <i>If I send a neg. his way than I will also recieve on as well... He has proved that is what he has done in the past. I also would like to get the card... May use my friend to bid on the auction one more time? we will see. Paul >>
And your point is???
Why are people so worried about negatives? I have 2 and both are retaliatory from feedback that I left 1st. It's part of buying/selling on Ebay.
Leave the negative and if you get one you can then add a follow up statement describing what the seller did.
My neighbor is SO worries about negative feedback. In a recent auction he broke the item he was selling as he was packing it up for shipping. Instead of contacting the buyer and refunding his $$ he went out and bought a NEW item to replace the one he broke at a cost of $30 over the payment he received.
Leave negative and everything else will work out
So what's the seller's ID? Maybe we can all harrass him a little bit

Not true, the only time a person cannot leave feedback that does not count for an item is if the seller files a UPI on the buyer and the buyer never responds to it. The buyer can leave feedback the comment shows but the feedback counts as nothing.
In these cases Paypal and Ebay are 2 seperate entities it can go as far as now the seller could even file an UPI on you and you would get a strike from Ebay and face possible suspension as a non-payer. Although it has been over 6 weeks so his 45 days ar possibly up.
Aside from negging him there is really nothing else you can do.
<< <i>Thats why you everyone should have an ID for buying and one for selling. But you have to neg him. Even if he retaliates leave a follow up saying that the seller never shipped the item and relisted it a week later. What was his name though? The bad rep that he will get with the collectors here will hurt his business just as much, if not more, then a neg would. >>
And you should post his ebay ID so we can avoid the same problem seller.

On a side note if this seller has blocked you from bidding and you bid on it with a "friends" ID and he figures it out and reports you. You and your friend could both end up getting in trouble with Ebay for auction interference and unwanted bidding.
If you have great feedback and can absorb the retalitory neg and still be 99.5+%, I say neg him. He deserves it.
