while a sub committee must approve a change, the change must then be tacked on to some other legislation and then ALL of congress must approve and signed by the president. a committee by itself cannot legislate.
At least they are offering it towards the end of the year. May help the mintages if it stays dead in the water. I am sure Coin Vault and other TV venues will be buying these up though.

The person who owns this company was a former exec of NGC..He was the 1st on ebay with the 2006 Gold anniv sets...(many sets) one of the top 2 sellers of that set. His office last year was across the street from NGC. Why is he buying from individuals ?

He also held the nation together in the face of the greatest sectional crisis to date--the Nullification Controversy of 1832-1833. Of course, we did eventually have a Civil War anyway, but his decisive reaction to nullifiers helped postpone it nearly thirty years.
Then again, his abolition of the national bank caused extraordinary harm.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."
Are there really enough people that don't know better that will pay the $5k or so that the TV shows will be asking for this issue?
I remember Coin Vault were hawking the 2006 W MS Platinum Sets. They couldnt sell them all either at 12 K and they drastically reduced their price to get rid of them.
The finish on the reverse of the 10th anniversary platinum Reverse Proof is going be different than the Reverse Proof from the silver & gold anniversary sets from last year. Only the high points of the reverse design will have a Proof like finish according to Coin World. I think it really makes the design stand out and looks fantastic. The 70's should do really well.
Never teach a pig to sing. You'll waste your time and annoy the pig
My bottom line: if the mint sweats the details - if those feathers really stand out - I'll buy it. Otherwise, no.
Salute the automobile: The greatest anti-pollution device in human history! (Just think of city streets clogged with a hundred thousand horses each generating 15 lbs of manure every day...)
If the 20th anniversary Reverse Proof gold from last year is any indication, there will also be more graded 70's than 69's for the Reverse Proof. There are currently 945 PCGS First Strike® PR70 Reverse Proof gold eagles and 857 PR69's. I believe that is the only coin graded by PCGS with a higher 70 population than 69's, better than a 50% 70 ratio.

Does anyone have a link to what these will look like? I haven't been following platinum, so I wanted to know if they are using the 2007 reverse, or somehting new.

That's one clever way to corner the market....if you have the funding to do so.

Home Shopping Network must be making it's move.
Is there enough to flip the needle in that market? 20-100 sets maybe, thousands I am not so sure.

Any guesses about Mint site activity?
Will the Mint's website and phonelines be jammed?
Will it be like the ordering for the Martha Washington / Abigail Adams spouse Coins or more like the Dolly Madison Coin?
They would see to it that there were unexpected
rarities from time to time. This would improve sales of all
the Mint products. Collectors would always be looking for
the sleeper issues. Perhaps this Platinum reverse set, will
be one of those sleepers. Misdirection is always a valuable tool
in creating such rarities.
