Annandale Coin Show

just wondering if any one is going. If I can get there, it will be my first coin show. Mostly going to get supplies and just see what is out there.

Authorized dealer for PCGS, PCGS Currency, NGC, NCS, PMG, CAC. Member of the PNG, ANA. Member dealer of CoinPlex and CCE/FACTS as "CH5"
Here is their web site.
I'll be there.
The 88-table Annandale show is predominately US Coins and Currency but will have almost two dozen dealers in ancients and world coin and currency. There are also dealers in errors and medals. Tidewater will have a full selection of coin books and supplies. About half of the Annandale dealers do not attend the other northern Virginia show (Vienna). So, if you're a Vienna regular, consider coming to Annandale as well and see a mostly different group of dealers and inventory. In addition to a number of local and regional dealers, the show includes almost a dozen national show circuit dealers (All American, Angel Dees, Black Mountain, Butternut, Coleman Foster, John Gulde, Wayne Herndon, AE Johnbrier, LSCOA, and Royalty Coins). We're particulary happy to have added Coleman Foster and Royalty Coins in from Texas for this show. Larry Briggs/SEGS and ROMA Coins typically also attend but had a conflict this time with another show.
It is the last show in the area before the holidays and there will be some holiday gift shopping options.
Here is the list of attending dealers for the show:

Darn, I thought we were going to be down there that weekend, but now I am not. Looks like a nice show.
It's good to know that you are one of the promoters of such a wonderful show. There are several "old friends" on your list of dealers. Look forward to doing some shopping this weekend. I encourage others to come, as well.

The Annandale show at NOVA is much better - plenty of parking, plenty of space to sit down at a table, or talk with someone in the middle of the aisle.
It's like apples and oranges. I know what to expect at Vienna, and I don't mind. See you Saturday!

When is the next show?
Bob, Thanks for not telling your wife the truth about me.
(Just think of city streets clogged with a hundred thousand horses each generating 15 lbs of manure every day...)

Although I'm not an ancient collector, there were some pretty amazing pieces. Lots of history and not just the last two hundred year! You can't help but fantasize that some of those pieces were handed out by Cleopatra as "tips.
I'm going to try to make this a regular event. Great show, Wayne and the other organiers.
folks were kind enough to confirm my fears on one coin, but I was able to unload it back to the
dealer that sold it to me for $100 more than anyone else was going to offer. Andy at Angel Dee’s
let me look at a 1916 DDO buff in VF, which is probably the rarest coin I’ve ever handled. Andy
was also the source of the 34-D buff I posted in another thread. Picked up another buff upgrade
and a $1 buff silver dollar for my type set. The $1 buff unfortunately had what appeared to be
PVC damage from the original mint set, but Wayne Herdon was kind enough to allow me to swap
it for a 2nd set, and that was very nice indeed. The only downside was a WLH that I bought in a
3rd world holder that I thought was accurately priced if over graded, but after looking at it more
closely decided it was at least two points over graded and thus overpriced, and the dealer who
sold it too me took his 10% pound of flesh on the buyback, even though returned it the next day.
