Are you satisfied with the results?
otherwise for circ strikes you are right on the money.
More like PCGS' eye for proofs needs to improve; or maybe NGC's eye for proofs needs to improve?
–John Adams, 1826
<< <i>What would happen if you now submitted those NGC slabs to PCGS - would the two proofs upgrade? I doubt it. >>
It is possible that these two are liners and would change if re-submitted to NGC as well.
<< <i>As a next step, you can try to cross them to PCI. >>
You skipped ANACS. Nothing like a net grade holder for one or two

<< <i>As a next step, you can try to cross them to PCI. >>
...and then ultimately crack them out and put them in 2x2's.

That's pretty darn lame in about 3 different ways. If you want to throw good money after bad then just ship your coins to me and call it a business loss. You'll get more from Uncle Sam then these dogs are now worth.

Can you please explain to the many responders on your thread, what your motivation was in crossing to NGC?
I am at a total loss!
I know of one series where these two companies don't agree. It looks like you found a few more.

Note to self #2: if you break rule #1 do not under any circumstances tell PCGS forum members about it

Hoping Mike will have a good solid reason for this, and let us know what it is...
<< <i>Are all your other coins in NGC holders? Why would you purposely decrease the value of your collection like that? >>
still the same coins.
If you keep crossing them back and forth, sooner or later you'll get some
nice entries for the Low-Ball Registry...
Had to laugh, NGC dropped some a point - which is exactly what PCGS
usually does to NGC coins.
I would have requested that these coins crossed grade for grade,
not cross at any grade.

MFH, you make too much sense here!!
I wonder if mike92694 is yanking our collective chain.
I hope so, for his sake.

To be specific, the correct quote is...
"Balls said the Queen, if I had two, I'd be King".

No. Not a friend of PCGS.
But all but one (the 1902 Dime) have been bought from known active forum members.

I have a long list of "Crossover Downgrades", mostly from NGC to PCGS, which will make even the Schadenfreude enthusiast cringe.

<< <i>still the same coins. >>
The coins may be the same, but the value, resale ability, and collector perception are now vastly different.

<< <i>"crossover" has simply got to be THE dumbest subject for discussion in the history of numismatics.
K S >>
Nonsense. I can think of many dumber discussions, including the one about which storage devices the mint intended your coins to be in.
In another thread , there's the limelight shining on a guy who's selling problem coins from ANACS holders on ebay and nobody seems to care. Integrity in numismatics ? No wonder there are no college courses. Not even the teachers get it right on a regular basis and the posse/ebay police around here could give a CRAP for the integrity of which we speak.
Numismatics
Is it about the coin, the plastic, the characteristics of the die or the dealer ?
Thanks PCGS for having such a cool hallway to hang out in !

<< <i>Why cross from PCGS to NGC? Was the value of your collection getting too high? You needed to decrease it?
