I just did the math on my 30 PCGS graded 2006-W ASE's.
I paid the Mint $1000 for that wonderful box(10 sets of three 20th Anniversary ASE's).
I paid PCGS $466 for grading fees, return shipping, and the 20th Anniversary designation.
Shipping and handling from the Mint and shipping to PCGS was ~$50.
Using current PCGS pricing, the retail value of my Mint case is $7635(2 of the RP's were PR70, big help)
In summary, because of this great forum's advice and guidance, I was able to take $1500 and turn it into $7k in just a few months.
That was one of my greatest investments ever!!!
Anyone else do the math on their wonderful box of 2006-W 20th Anniversary Silver Eagles????

No I have not sold them, they are in my SDB...probably acquiring milk spots.
SNMAN, you would bring up the FS thing.
I cannot complain, as I believe I purchased the case just a couple days(or less) before they were gone.
<< <i>Just think what your profit margin would have been if you made 2 UNC 2006-W MS-70 FS 20th Anni >>
FS?? First Strike?? Why is it that the label adds so much value? The coin and the condition are the important part. I would not pay a premium for a pretty label.
Of those, I sent in one PR70DCAM, two PR70 Reverse proofs, 5 PR69DCAM's, and 6 MS69's. They WERE worth about 7k, now probably $1000 in 66-67 holders. Easy come easy go I suppose.

About $3,000+ difference in price. Pop. of only 21, last time I checked.....
one MS70, 4 RP70's and (only) one?? 70DCAM
that one MS70 saved may tush as I sold it right away or almost right away. no regrets
i paid about double the mint price off of ebay
in retro i might have been better off just selling the cases in late May for 8K each and been done with them..
the highest graded of each type. Then sell the rest, on TT.
I had ten sets at one point and sold all but 3. I haven't added the last two sets I sold. I am keeping an 70, 70, 69 set for myself which was worth over $1,200 last I checked. Anyway for the first seven sets I sold, after all fees, I made $3,387 aproximately. On the recent sales, I sold the RP for $240 and the MS69 for $95, so I I am probably over $3,800.
I was also lucky enough to score 70, 70, 69 Gold Anniversary set which I sold for over 8k, for a profit of a little under 5k. I just had the one set of that but couldn't hold it at those prices.
I hope I don't look back and regret selling them all
I wish other issues had gone as well! Percentage-wise you can't beat that set!
Swest

COINBOY,
Surely you made a couple dollars on this silvery case of joy.
Looks like others have made major $$$$$$$'s on this special issue.
I look forward to more forum members coming forward and announcing their profits.
Going back to the Baltimore show on Saturday for more fun!!!!
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
