the spots kill the eye appeal for me, but man oh man have you ever seen a 28-D struck like this?

    I saw that coin ealier and while the obverse appears to be typical, the reverse has remakable detail. This is a date that is almost always poorly struck in grades 65 and below. Even the few 66's that I've seen are of only moderate strike.

    A little better than average obv-nice rev. Many of the dates of this era come this way-1929-P and D, 1930, 1930-S, 1931-S-real sharp reverses but just typically struck at the braid knot.
