Gotta applaud the ebay scammers....
Have just had a handful of auctions close, some more up, and my email box is getting heavy with "you just listed" and "just ended" and "payment received"....so, a question about an item sneaks in.
I read it.
"Interested in BIN....how much to ship to Canada". Well, alarms start tingling (I don't ship outside US). I read just in case, think about clicking the "Item number" shown, notice it goes to some weird place.....for fun, I click it and it goes to "an ebay login page".....well, I am already logged in and I already noticed the weird URL.
The page, in email, was actually well done. No mispellings, timed right (like I said, closing auctions going on, emails coming in from ebay and buyers, and new auctions going up).....very well done.
Be careful out there folks, it's a dangerous place

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Heres a bit of info for those who might not know.....Many times while your surfing and visiting webpages cookies are placed in your machine. These cookies we set up to origionally make it faster should you return to the site. So you dont have to download the pages script again.
However with time good intentions turn bad, now they are used to track you. And companies make big money for telling others where folks are surfing to . IE companies like Double Click, Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc... Even when searching in one of the sites....
Also there are web pages out there that can put things on your pc should you not be locked down very well.....Some of these are nasty little buggers that can track key strokes, log ins etc.....
If you think Im kidding download a anti spyware software a freebie like Ad Aware, Spy Bot, AVG, something and just watch what it will grab up on your computer....If it grabs nothing then your locked down or dont surf that much...However if it grabs even a dozen, mine grabs 200 a week on my once a week scan, you need to make that part of your routine, like updating Virus Scan....
Do not reply to these emails even if you think its funny to call their bluff, call them names etc.....Its best left alone....

Everyone knows to use Ebay's mail system
Buying top quality Seated Dimes in Gem BU and Proof.
Buying great coins - monster eye appeal only.
<< <i>I would be very careful even clicking on any link....Especially through the email.....Open a separate window, go to ebay and see if the message is in your message center......Do not click ANY links.....Thats just my HSO

a web page alone is enough to take over your computer
if their is a exploit embedded in it.
safe guards? lol. you mean anti-virus software that barely works?
turn off java script? turn off activex?
you may as well turn off your machine.
The identity and bank account(s) you save may be your own.
