When the price of silver rises … (warning large pics)

I picked up this collection at a flea market for about 11x face. Its amazing what comes out of the dusty drawers when the price of silver is on the rise!

Hoard the keys.
What amazes me the most is that when I had a paper route in the early 60s, I never found early Walkers like this in circulation. The ones I found were all worn, with just a partial date revealed.
With the time value of money, I did much better at the flea market, than if I would have pulled all of these coins out of circulation!
He also had two books of Lincoln cents. A circulated set of 1909-1940, missing the key dates and a complete BU set from 1941 to 1964. The BU set was priced at $100 and the circulated set was priced at $125. I managed to get the circulated set thrown in with the Walker deal for an additional $100.00. There were additional books there. As he pulled out a type set collection, my Wife insisted that we leave
When I got home I noticed that some of the early teen Lincolns were VF-XF.
I may have to go back there soon!
i just picked up a roll of silver wash quarters for 88 dollars. i knocked
4 bucks off the price.
i guess all the different dates does allow the seller to ask for more
of a premium eh?
just the same, nice coins. it is so much fun to buy coins at their
intrinsic value instead of multiples times it!!
score!
