I have the following Cal Commemerative. I have no idea how to grade these and they are hard to photo so I was just curious on the grading. This one is grade AU55 and I dont disputr the grade but what should I look for as far as how to grade this one. There are no real marks and the strikes on these are such that nothing stands out to me. Any thoughts? Just cruious.

The high point on the obverse is the miner`s sleeve. On the reverse it`s the bear`s left front shoulder. Check for wear there. Your coin looks to be correctly graded at AU.

That's a nice looking coin for the Grade!

From here it looks wicked nice for 55. I'd have guessed 58 if you hadn't posted a grade. Those aren't easy to find with "skin" either. Good coin.
