An obvious fake 55 DDO?

I'm no expert, but this example screams fake.
Seller also claims, coin may be a copy I cant tell.
With that said, people are bidding on it.
Hows that saying go, a fool and his money something or another.

It's just plain silly looking. However someone is wiling to pay $177 for it. Just don't get it.
The nose is odd, Lincoln's profile looks cartoonish, if thats even a word.
I'm always suspicious when someone tells a story with a coin sale. Maybe doing so makes them feel better about ripping people off or the seller thinks stories hide facts?
I'm with you Barndog. Stories are okay if they have some substance, not this one though.
One more thing, Go Sox.

The fact that people bid on this garbage is why sellers list it. His story is lame, it's his mother in laws and he's selling it for his wife. They were mad at a dealer who said it was fake but then he said it might be fake. Ebay should pull it, it's counterfiet!
Here's another lame auction worth a laugh:

This coin is a counterfeit and I think you know it by the way your auction reads. Reported to ebay.

He's not very professional. Maybe his panties are in a bunch.
Tell him I'll send you back a better fake than you have listed.
I also sent him an inquiry, should make for a good laugh.
Go Sox!
I can't wait for my reply.
Most of his auctions look like fakes to me.

I just wanted to let you know that your 55DDO is a laughable fake. You really should disclose this in your description. This is a disservice to the hobby. The winner may eventually try to authenticate it, and discover that he or she was burned, possibly leaving the hobby with a bad taste in their mouth. This sort of thing hurts us all in the long run. I hope you understand.
His reply:
WHO ARE YOU? IL'L TELL YOU YOU AHOLE LEAVE ME ALONE. HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S FAKE?
ARE YOU THE COIN POLICE? DO YOU HAVE A PGD IN COINS? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TELLING ME WHAT I CAN SEL. IM SICK OF YOU FOOLS WRITING ME, GET A LIFE. IF YOU HAVE ANY GUTS YOU WILL TELL ME TO MY FACE, I DOUT IT.
Now that's not very good customer service, I'm upset.
He ended all of his auctions. Guess he took his marbles and went home mad.
Yes, I would assume he is pissed off, judging by all the CAPS.
It's not easy to sell key fakes on Ebay. Someone here will catch it.
Weight a minut, I thawt ole Pappy-in-Law din't bye no fakes!
