Under the new e-bay rules are blocked serial numbers okay?
The new rules call for both sides of the slab to be shown on a certified coin. Without the serial numbers, it is no more than a stock photograph IMHO. What are your thoughts on the matter?

The new rules don't work
when there are three sides of a coin
Edit to add:
I fixed mine and took PCGS out of the title. See what a little guilt does. Thank Pharmer

That's what I've always done when listing a coin where that might be a concern.

Wouldn't it be the new owners problem?
or the next owner that wanted it in a set?
<< <i>I never understood why people blocked them in the first place. >>
I've only done this when I had several identical pieces for sale (e.g., 2006 PR69 ASEs) and didn't want to photograph each coin and have to keep track of which holder went with which bidder.

Exactly, for moderns a stock photo is best. What's the difference between 5 - PR69 Jefferson Spouses, that each one needs to be photographed ?
A good photo is hard to find. I'd spend an hour doing five, downloading, etc...

It stands for "hubris."

With all the milk spotting on ASE's, I'd want to see an actual photo of the coin up for auction & not some recycled stock photo.

For a couple of coins this is fine but for someone selling hundreds or thousands of coins that is not a reasonable solution.
i.e. a four coin presidential set.
<< <i>If you are selling four coins does this new process allow for multiple serial numbers?

Yes...List one cert.# in the Item specifics & the other 3 need to be listed in your description.
<< <i>What do you do if you own a coin graded by PCGS and it has no serial number? >>
Make sure that you obtain good scans of the obverse & reverse. BTW, Is there such a thing as a PCGS slab w/o a coin or serial #?

Ooops I forgot about the freebees that PCGS used to offer....
