<< <i>Payment by Money Order, Cashier's/Certified Check, sorry NO PAYPAL or credit cards, items sold as is and all sales final as estate settlement does not allow for returns. >>
That's all I need to know.

That depends on how you define "legit". I'm sure the bidders will get the coins they buy. Now, whether or not they'll look as nice as the images is anybody's guess. But, I'm also sure the "inherited estate" schtick is a load of crap.

I can't remember if FDC also includes proof coins or not.
Check out my current listings: https://ebay.com/sch/khunt/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=12&_rdc=1
reputable auction house to sell rather then E-Bay. Why
Isn't the coin slabbed. If the coin is as described, its a valuable
coin and I would not start it at 99 cents. My gut says something
is wrong here but what puzzles me is that the seller has an excellent
rating.
Camelot
All that = NO BIDS form me!
Bear also raises some valid points. Why isn't a coin this outstanding certified?
If in doubt - DON'T!

This is EBay's new method for masking userids. It replaces he bidder1, bidder2, bidder3 method.

<< <i>OK, I'm going to ask a dumb question. What doe's FDC stand for? >>
<< <i>FDC= "fleur de coin". Which basically means "Uncirculated" in many foreign grading systems.

Thanks.

Any help would be appreciated, with that said, No, I wouldn't bid on this auction without looking at the coin in hand.
Thanks

<< <i>Is is possible that people collect coins and not plastic? Why does every nice coin have to be in a plastic slab? Could someone please explain this to a newbie. Before Grading companies, how did collectors make decisions on purchasing coins? If I have 1921 Peace dollar graded MS65 by NGC and crack it out and it upgrades to a PCGS MS66, isn't it still the same coin? or better yet, if I crack it out and put it in a Danso, isn't it still the same coin?
Any help would be appreciated, with that said, No, I wouldn't bid on this auction without looking at the coin in hand.
Thanks
Doug >>
I don't think it's that the coin has to be in a slab, it's that because of the venue where it's being sold and the terms of the auction, being slabbed provides some protection that the buyer is getting a genuine coin.
<< <i>OK, I'm going to ask a dumb question. What doe's FDC stand for? >>
For Dumb Collectors.
The photo is as phony as a three dollar bill !!
<< <i>Before Grading companies, how did collectors make decisions on purchasing coins? >>
The same way they should be making decisions now; by evaluating the coin in-hand before finalizing the deal. That is not an option in this case, and the risk is magnified by the fact that the coins are uncertified.

Is there shill bidding (or not)?
Coin Rarities Online
He's sold at least 5 Eisenhower Dollar Sets, including proof, for better than $300 each. One pulled in $500+ which to me screams either shill or extremely stupid bidders. I am not saying that a good set of IKEs shouldn't demand a premium but I hardly expect such sales figures on EBay with a "no buyer recourse" auction. (i.e. No Paypal, no credit cards, no returns!)
It was shown in one thread that this seller sold the same coin twice ( here ) or at least the same photo was used which begs the question HUH? No returns but this shows up again. If it was the same photo, then perhaps you will not received what you bid on! Too many questions.
Are shills being used? I think so but thats just me.
Reading the feedbacks also shows some interesting insights especially from our favorite seller centsles! Seems he feel like he got taken.
This seller has a very fgood ability to photograph coins to make them appear FDC whic is probably what accounts for the high bids. However, none of the IKE sets were photographed using that method so I just don;t know for sure.
I'd bid but then if I didn't like what I got, I couldn't return it so what would the point be?

I saw the Ike sets also, while others are getting like $150, his are going for way too much and you cannot even see the coins in his photos for the sets. That kind of make me stop looking at his other auctions, especially with no Paypal and no return, and what seems like very nice coins, something just doesn't seem right, at least to me.
