Thoughts on half dime

Sellers pics may leaving something to be desired but can you tell

1) If that is a die crack or scatch thru Liberty's head.
2) Could there be some clashing by Liberty's elbow and by M and E on Dime (clashing with what)?
3) Sufaces look original?

1. Yes, it's a scratch.
2. Yes. Those are clash marks. The leaves and "E" of "dime" have clashed with the area around the elbow of Liberty.
3. I can't tell from the pics regarding the originality of the coin's surfaces.

Given the limitations of image interpretation-

1) I simply cannot tell what is going on there
2) Looks like die clashing
3) Very doubtful that this coin has original surfaces

I've learned lots from TomB on the boards and usually pay close attention to his views ... but, I think your coin is original

2. Looks to be wreath leaves clashed by her elbow - and the folds by her hip in the M/E area.
1. ...therefore it *may* be ribbon clash by her head
3. the reverse looks original (to me, that is)- but I couldn't guess if I had only seen the obverse?

1) A scratch, though it could be on the plastic.
2) Could be clashmarks, I guess.
3) I don't know if it's original or not, but I think it is attractive, and it looks like it's in PCGS plastic? Good enough for them, good enough for me.

Thanks for everyone's thoughtful input. I'm just starting to look at Seated Coinage for my 7070, so I do appreciate the knowledge that has been shared. This particular piece is up to $260 on TT tonight already. I not prepared to pay that kind of money, or at least pay that kind of money for the first coin that I looked at seriously. I'm sure there will be others.

First off that coin is way too shiny. Half dimes are very old so they should like that way.

Kinda like this one. Except mine has a small die crack on it.

I would say no to original surfaces... however, and I am not trying to be critical, but the image is is not encouraging as it seems to be overexposed and I hope the surfaces are not as bright as they appear in the image

Small? That is perhaps the most severely shattered reverse die in the entire series. I would call that a major die crack, and an extremely rare die state.
