My wife works in a convience store and she got this half in change today......is somebody just stupid or is gas just getting that outragoues.

I have a touch time believing ANYONE would spend that coin. I mean lets be realistic, even if you know nothing about coins it still says the year 1861.

If it actually was taken out of circ, and it is not a made up story. I would be willing to bet it was stolen.

Simply put, I don't believe it.

You should have seen the look on my face when she handed it to me.......The store she works at is in the middle of BFE Kansas. This is not a large city store. The nearest coin store is 45 miles away. So not sure how it got there but i am not going to complain about getting it.
